What is a Widget?

What is the NSX Widget?

The NSX Widget allows you to receive NSX Announcements and Quotes for NSX listed companies on your desk top.  It is based on technology from Yahoo!.

Instructions:

  1. Click on the above image to get the widget and download the software for your system (Windows or Mac);
  2. Select the required feed in the drop down box.  The default is "Announcements";
  3. Clicking on a news article will display that article in your browser;
  4. Type in a Valid NSX Trading Code in the  box to retrieve the latest trading data, market depth and last 10 trades in your browser.

What system does Yahoo! Widgets run on?

Yahoo! Widgets runs on both Macintosh and Windows computers.

Yahoo! Widgets for Windows requires either Windows Vista, Windows XP SP2, or Windows 2000 SP4 minimum. It is recommended that you have the latest service packs and updates.

Yahoo! Widgets for Macintosh is for any Macintosh computer running Mac OS X 10.3.9 or greater.

How do I make Yahoo! Widgets run when I login or my machine restarts?

On Windows:

The Yahoo! Widgets installer will add a shortcut for Yahoo! Widgets to the Startup folder in your Start Menu. This will launch Yahoo! Widgets automatically when your computer starts. To change this, remove the shortcut from your Startup folder.

On Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left of the screen.
  2. Open "System Preferences".
  3. Click on "Accounts".
  4. Choose your account in the list.
  5. Click on the "Startup Items" tab (on the right).
  6. Click the button at the bottom labeled with a "+".
  7. Choose the "Yahoo! Widgets" application and press "Add".
